You’re not the only one worried about stretch marks. According to studies, 80% of adults will suffer from them. As a result of excessive weight loss or weight gain, stretch marks or striae are typically caused by continual expansion and contraction of the skin. Typically found around the thighs, buttocks, stomach, breasts, and upper arms, these textured bands range in colour from light grey to purple.

Despite the fact that stretch marks are not a sign of a health problem, their appearance can negatively affect one’s self-esteem and confidence. In order to lighten or minimize the appearance of stretch marks, thousands of people undergo laser treatments each year. It is also possible to achieve the same result with natural remedies. Aloe Vera Gel is one of these remedies.

Check out these tips on how to get rid of stretch marks with Aloe Vera.

Is Aloe Vera effective at treating stretch marks?

Aloe Vera gel has hydrating and healing properties, making it a popular ingredient in skincare products like soaps, moisturizers, and face creams.

Due to the following properties, Aloe Vera Gel can fade stretch marks:

  • Enhances collagen synthesis

There are two compounds that are present in Aloe Vera gel: gibberellin and glucomannan. Gibberellin is a growth hormone, while glucomannan is a polysaccharide-rich in mannose. By stimulating growth factor receptors on fibroblasts, these compounds increase collagen production.

  • UV and gamma radiation protection

Stretch marks can become darker if they are exposed to the sun. The application of Aloe Vera gel to the skin produces metallothionein, an antioxidant protein that eliminates hydroxyl radicals. Ozone molecules are broken down by UV radiation, resulting in hydroxyl radicals. As a result, they are particularly harmful to humans since they attack essential cell components and protein bonds.

  • Provides moisture to the skin

It has been shown that topical moisturizers reduce stretch marks significantly. Aloe Vera gel contains mucopolysaccharides that hydrate the skin. Softening flaking or hardened epidermal cells is another advantage of amino acids.

  • Enhances the elasticity of the skin

Cortisone, a hormone produced by the adrenal gland in the body, can also cause stretch marks. A high cortisone level in the body can lead to a loss of skin elasticity. Aloe Vera gel stimulates fibroblasts, which in turn produce elastin fibers. As a result, the skin looks younger and more elastic.

Aloe Vera: How to Use It for Stretch Marks

The following are some great ways to use fresh Aloe Vera leaf gel to lighten stretch marks:

Take a premium Aloe Vera fresh leaf, wash the leaf first and then properly extract the gel from the inside as described in the post THE PROPER WAY OF HOW TO EXTRACT FRESH ALOE VERA GEL FROM THE LEAF!

  • Fresh Aloe Vera gel:

Directly applying fresh Aloe Vera Gel to the skin is an easy and effective method of using Aloe Vera. Soothe the skin by applying it alone or by mixing it with some vitamin E capsules. Simply apply it and massage it for five minutes. Apply twice daily for best results.

  • Mask made from Aloe Vera:

You can also mix Aloe Vera gel with other natural products to fade stretch marks faster. A teaspoon of cinnamon, diluted lemon juice, almond oil, or honey can be mixed with two tablespoons of fresh Aloe Vera gel. The paste should be applied evenly to the affected area for 30 minutes. Take a shower and rinse it off. Do this twice a week at least.

  • Scrub with Aloe Vera:

By exfoliating, you improve blood circulation, improve oxygen supply, and remove dead skin cells. Fresh Aloe Vera gel can be mixed with natural exfoliating ingredients such as ground coffee or granulated sugar. After applying it to the affected area, let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing it off. It should be repeated every other day.
