The majority of people consume Aloe Vera juice directly, but others may prefer to mix it into smoothies, mocktails, or cookies.

Despite its many health benefits, the juice is a well-known quick fix for a wide range of conditions, from gastric problems to skin problems.

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) may also be treated with aloe vera, which many people are unaware of.

Here’s what you need to know.

The Causes of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?

The digestive system is affected by IBS, a chronic condition. There is usually discomfort or pain in the stomach associated with this functional gastrointestinal disorder. Constipation, diarrhoea, cramps, bloating, gas, and bloating are also possible symptoms. It is possible to suffer from these symptoms for days or even months at a time. Even though IBS is a lifelong condition, only a small percentage of people actually suffer from severe symptoms.

Diet and lifestyle changes are usually enough to manage the symptoms for most people. People can find a treatment or therapy that works for them, but no one treatment or therapy works for everyone. Drinking Aloe Vera juice, for instance, has been reported to have significant benefits.

How Does Aloe Vera Juice Help IBS?

The positive effects of Aloe Vera on gastrointestinal inflammation and IBS symptoms have been demonstrated in numerous studies.

The Journal of Neurogastroenterology and Motility published a systematic review and analysis of Aloe Vera’s safety and effectiveness. According to the researchers, Aloe Vera gel and juices can be an effective and safe treatment.

Researchers noted that further research is needed to determine whether the same outcomes would be achieved for patients with different subtypes of IBS.

You can make your own juice using fresh Aloe Vera leaf gel

  1. Buy Premium Fresh Aloe Vera Leaf.
  2. Wash the leaf first and cut off the base and tip of the leaf.
  3. You can remove aloin  – yellow sap by placing your Aloe Vera leaf, cut side down, in a cup and letting it drain for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Cut a large Aloe Vera leaf in half. Use a sharp knife to carefully remove removing the green part (skin of the leaf).
  5. Obtain the inner jelly – Aloe Vera gel.
  6. Wash with plenty of water and soak for 6 to 12 hours to remove the rest of the  aloin – a yellow sap.

Be careful with latex or aloin. Between the outer bark of the leaf of Aloe Vera  and the inner fillet – the gel, is yellow juice (aloe latex) and it is a natural laxative. Latex contains natural laxatives called anthraquinones, which may be beneficial in relieving constipation. It is important to note that aloin is not recommended to use. When taken in extremely high doses, ALOIN can be harmful and is not recommended!

  • Place the peeled and rinsed Aloe Vera gel in a blender.
  • Blend the water and Aloe Vera Gel into a juice.
  • Taste the Aloe Juice and add more sweetener or lime juice to taste.

You can add the pieces of Aloe Vera gel to your smoothies, mocktails and salads.
